Ο Σύλλογος Γυναικών με Καρκίνο Μαστού «Άλμα Ζωής» Νομού
Θεσσαλονίκης είναι Μη Κερδοσκοπικό Σωματείο που ιδρύθηκε το
2008 από γυναίκες που είχαν βιώσει την εμπειρία του καρκίνο του
μαστού, με πρωτοβουλία του Πανελληνίου Συλλόγου Γυναικών με
Καρκίνο Μαστού «Άλμα Ζωής» που εδρεύει στην Αθήνα.

Σκοπός του Συλλόγου είναι η οργανωμένη αλληλοβοήθεια, η ψυχοκοινωνική στήριξη
και συμβουλευτική τόσο των γυναικών που πάσχουν όσο και των μελών των οικογενειών τους.
Επιπλέον, συμβάλλει στην απομυθοποίηση του καρκίνου και στην ενημέρωση του γυναικείου
πληθυσμού για την πρόληψη και έγκαιρη διάγνωση της ασθένειας.

Η μοναδικότητα του Συλλόγου έγκειται στο γεγονός ότι όλα τα μέλη του, τα μέλη του
Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του, αλλά και οι εθελόντριές του είναι γυναίκες με εμπειρία
καρκίνου μαστού. Διοικείται από 7μελές Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο που εκλέγεται από
τα μέλη του και διαθέτει Κοινωνική Λειτουργό και Ψυχολόγο.

Ο Σύλλογος «Άλμα Ζωής» είναι συνεχιστής των Προγραμμάτων του Πανελλήνιου Συλλόγου
«Άλμα Ζωής». Το επιστημονικό του έργο σχεδιάζεται από τους ειδικούς επαγγελματίες
ψυχικής υγείας του Συλλόγου, εγκρίνεται από Επιστημονική Επιτροπή αποτελούμενη από 15
έγκριτους επιστήμονες διαφόρων ειδικοτήτων και εποπτεύεται από τον Πανελλήνιο Σύλλογο
«Άλμα Ζωής».

Ο Σύλλογος εφαρμόζει το Διεθνές Πρόγραμμα στήριξης γυναικών με
καρκίνο μαστού Reach to Recovery, προσαρμοσμένο στα ελληνικά δεδομένα
από τον Πανελλήνιο Σύλλογο Γυναικών με Καρκίνο Μαστού «Άλμα Ζωής»

Στο Σύλλογο μπορεί να απευθυνθεί δωρεάν, κάθε γυναίκα με καρκίνο μαστού ή μέλος της
οικογένειάς της για να ζητήσει την υποστήριξη από το επιστημονικό προσωπικό, για να μιλήσει
με μια εθελόντρια και να πάρει πληροφορίες μέσα σε κλίμα εμπιστοσύνης, ζεστασιάς και αξιοπρέπειας.

Ο Σύλλογος δεν διαθέτει προϊόντα προς πώληση. Στηρίζεται οικονομικά σε χορηγίες, σε δωρεές φίλων,
στα έσοδα εκδηλώσεων και στις συνδρομές των μελών του, τακτικών και αρωγών.

Ο Σύλλογος Άλμα Ζωής Ν.Θεσσαλονίκης διαθέτει Τράπεζα Αίματος για τα μέλη του, η οποία
δημιουργήθηκε το 2016.
